Day 1 consisted of motorway driving and a stop off at Pizza Express, so things didn’t really get going until Day 2

Up early for a visit to Crooklets Beach – a lovely stony beach just north of Bude.

Cracked out the new kite for the girls’ (and surprisingly) Daddy’s first ever Kite flying experience, then a quick game of rounders (Ella won) and down to the beach to build some Stone Castles 🙂

 

Mama and Beard Grandad arrived just after lunch, so we piled in to the car and drove down to Widemouth Bay (south of Bude) – no pictures were taken on this visit but (spoiler alert) we do come back 🙂
